Explore Our Beautiful Trails Over 700 miles of trails await you on the Ouachita National Forest. The trails system includes trails and related facilities for hiking, mountain biking, all-terrain vehicles (ATV's), and equestrian. Hiking and interpretive trails range in lengths of less than 1 mile up to the 192-mile Ouachita National Recreation Trail, which traverses the entire forest from west to east. These trails vary in level of difficulty. Nearby Trails include the Wolf Pen Gap multi-use Trail for ATV, Mountains Biking, Hiking and Equestrian, the Earthquake Ridge Mountain Biking and Hiking Trail and the Ouachita Trail for Mountain Biking and Hiking.

Hang Gliding in the Ouachita Mountains There are many designated Hang Glider Launch Sites in the Ouachita Mountains. For pilots, the Outback Cabins place you in an ideal location for easy access to launch site is Arkansas and in Oklahoma. For spectating the nearest launch site is on the Beautiful Talimena Scenic Drive.
