Whether you wish to ride the ATV trails, go hang gliding, canoeing, hunting and fishing, rock climbing or just simply wish to enjoy the views and fresh mountain air, you will find what you need at the Outback Cabins.
Our cabins are close to the Wolfpen Gap, which has over 31 miles of connected trails for your pleasure. Within close proximity are hiking and biking trails, the Ouachita River and Wilhelmina Lake for fishing and canoeing, as well as hunting in the Ouachita National Forest.
We are 11 miles from Mena, which is the seat of Polk County, and is abundant with activities, shopping and restaurants. Come and peruse our antique shops, enjoy a cup of coffee in downtown Mena and get to know our very friendly local people. Take in the scenery on the Talimena Scenic Drive from Mena, AR to Talihina, OK., stop at the many scenic overlooks and perhaps enjoy lunch at Queen Wilhelmina State Park.

Many events are scheduled throughout the year for your enjoyment. The whole town fills up with antique and vintage cars during the Rod Run; our Lum and Abner Festival celebrates the old days of radio shows, the Polk County Festival is enjoyed by both young and old. These are just a few of the events available. To check current schedules, visit the Mena Chamber of Commerce website.
So…bring the family, stoke up the coals for a delicious barbecue, sit on the deck and enjoy the views, and breath in the fresh air at Outback Cabins.
